{"id":9098,"date":"2019-03-12T12:15:51","date_gmt":"2019-03-12T11:15:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/stage.golfclub.ch\/?page_id=9098"},"modified":"2019-03-12T15:02:36","modified_gmt":"2019-03-12T14:02:36","slug":"rules-etiquette","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/stage.golfclub.ch\/en\/course\/rules-etiquette\/","title":{"rendered":"Rules &#038; etiquette"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3><strong>Important to us<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Friendly cooperation is the top priority.<\/li>\n<li>We respect each other.<\/li>\n<li>We greet all members, guests and employees.<\/li>\n<li>We use &#8220;Ready Golf&#8221; <strong>in free play mode<\/strong> (see Ready Golf).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>Dress code<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>On course incl. practice area: \u201e<a href=\"http:\/\/www.golfclub.ch\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/Etikette-2017.pdf\">Etiquette clothes<\/a>\u201c<\/li>\n<li>We respect our teammates, tournament organizers and sponsors and shower prior to the tournament presentation. The dress code can always be found in the competition literature.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>Tee-Time Reservation<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Do not book tee-times unless your attendance is certain. There&#8217;s always availability on the 27 holes.<\/li>\n<li>Always respect your tee-times.<\/li>\n<li>Cancel any booking early, your group partners will thank you.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>Prior to play<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Be aware of the 18-hole combination for that day\u2019s play (RED\/YELLOW\/BLUE).<\/li>\n<li>Arrive in plenty of time at the first Tee (10 minutes before your tee-time).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>Rules on the tee<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Keep a safe distance from your fellow players.<\/li>\n<li>Never swing in the direction of your fellow players.<\/li>\n<li>Make sure that you know where your fellow players are (failure to take this precautionary measure has already led to accidents).<\/li>\n<li>Respect silence while your fellow players are playing.<\/li>\n<li>Follow the correct order of play for HCP-effective rounds.<\/li>\n<li>Do not stand behind the ball (unless with prior agreement).<\/li>\n<li>Only Tee off when the group in front of you is safely out of reach.<\/li>\n<li>Make sure that you don\u2019t unnecessarily damage the tee surface. (practice swings)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>Pace of play<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Consider your club choice for the next shot on the way to the ball.<\/li>\n<li>Do not use overly long pre-shot routines.<\/li>\n<li>Make a maximum of 1 practice swing.<\/li>\n<li>Walk quickly between the shots.<\/li>\n<li>Always keep up with the group ahead.<\/li>\n<li>Consider where you place your trolley at the green to allow for quick progression from the green to the next tee.<\/li>\n<li>Always leave the green quickly. Mark your card on the next tee.<\/li>\n<li>Pick up your ball if you have exceeded a valid score on that hole and the next group is approaching.<\/li>\n<li>Wave the group behind you through, while looking for the ball.<\/li>\n<li>Tee off first and then note the score of the previous hole.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>Additional pace of play &#8220;Ready Golf&#8221; in free play mode<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Agree &#8220;Ready Golf&#8221; with your group before starting.<\/li>\n<li>You may deviate from the order of the match rule 10-2. The player who is ready to play strikes the ball. Always in agreement with your playing partners and in accordance with the principle of safety.<\/li>\n<li>If a long hitter must wait, the others should play first.<\/li>\n<li>You may wait a few meters ahead of your playing partner, who is hitting, but not in the line of play or sight.<\/li>\n<li>Play your ball first and then help to find a lost ball.<\/li>\n<li>In doubt, play a provisory ball.<\/li>\n<li>Play your ball, even if your playing partner is still raking at the bunker.<\/li>\n<li>Exchange distance and obstacle information whilst approaching the ball.<\/li>\n<li>Advise players of incorrectly placed trolley\/carts.<\/li>\n<li>Always put your glove on and off in advance of each shot.<\/li>\n<li>Putt even if your flight partners are not yet on the green.<\/li>\n<li>Do not wait for your partner if he\/she has played the ball over the green.<\/li>\n<li>Putt, even if you are very close to others putting lines.<\/li>\n<li>Note the scores just after the next tee shot (minimum 1<sup>st<\/sup> player of the flight).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>Over-taking<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>If the forward group is too slow (e.g. fourball before a twoball), ask kindly if the hole may be skipped (without playing this hole, otherwise there would be waiting times for all following groups).<\/li>\n<li>Then hurry to play the next hole so that the overtaken group does not need to wait.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>Care on the tee, fairway and in the bunker<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Place broken tees, cigarettes and all other waste in the bins.<\/li>\n<li>Repair divots.<\/li>\n<li>Rake the bunker after stepping into it and place the rake completely in the bunker (motto: Eliminate your own and others marks, brings good luck!).<\/li>\n<li>Do not drive your trolley between green and green bunker, over the green, through a hazard or ground under repair.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>Fairways<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Don&#8217;t try to cut it short, because you could disrupt other groups.<\/li>\n<li>A start from Tee 10 is only possible after consultation with the secretary office.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>At the green<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Correct your own and others\u2019 pitchmarks.<\/li>\n<li>Take out the flag when putting and lay it carefully on the green.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>Other Groups<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Your ball may not land closer than 50 meters behind the forward group.<\/li>\n<li>Tee-off only when the forward group is out of range.<\/li>\n<li>Do not create unnecessary noise.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>Safety<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>The greenkeepers have absolute priority.<\/li>\n<li>Never endanger greenkeepers, other players or walkers.<\/li>\n<li>When in doubt, always shout FORE.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>Local Rules<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Our local rules can be seen on the score card and on the green fee bag tag.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Important to us Friendly cooperation is the top priority.
